The FD is a direct injection turbocharged and intercooled diesel engine, refined to meet the performance and environmental demands of work in the American city. It excels in pulling power, highway performance and engine life. Horsepower and torque characteristics were developed to match the GVWR and operating environment for each model. The UD1200 and UD1400 engines are rated at 145 horsepower.
